HOTBHN PARTNERS WITH WACO MUSIC & ART CONFERENCE TO ADDRESS SUICIDE PREVENTION & MENTAL HEALTH

Community collaboration between MAP Digital Magazine and the Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network (HOTBHN) will reach the eyes and ears of the Central Texas music and art communities on July 30, 2023, to bring the mental health and suicide prevention conversation to the stage.

It is all part of the MAP Music and Art Conference on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at the Backyard Bar Stage and Grill from 4 – 8 p.m.

“It’s Waco’s 1st 8-Way Art Conference that will target suicide prevention and mental health,” said Michael Stone, who is with MAP Digital Magazine and the event’s head organizer.

HOTBHN will be featured in two videos to be played for the conference. The videos will feature the latest local and Texas suicide statistics and local survivors who have been affected directly and indirectly by suicide. HOTBHN will also provide staff for a live interview after attendees view the videos.

“HOTBHN is honored to be a resource to the Central Texas music and art community when it comes to mental health and suicide prevention,” said Vince Erickson, HOTBHN’s Public Information Officer. “This collaboration is part of our commitment to ending the stigma surrounding mental health and truly bolstering our mission of suicide prevention through our agency’s Zero Suicide Initiative.”
