Barbara Tate Retiring After 41 Years of Dedicated Service to MHMR

Barbara Tate, Executive Director for the Heart of Texas Region MHMR Center, will be retiring August 31, 2019

after 41 years of dedicated service.

Over her forty-one years with the Center she has served in many roles. In 2005, following Executive Director Dean Maberry’s sudden passing, the Center’s Board of Trustees unanimously selected her to fill the position making Tate the third person to serve as Executive Director throughout the Center’s fifty years of operation.

Barbara is not only valued by the Center staff for her accomplishments, but by the consumers and communities that we serve in the six county region.  She has proven herself not only as a strategic leader but as a supportive mentor to staff.

To honor Ms. Tate and thank her for her many years of service to the Center, the staff, the consumers and communities we serve, Heart of Texas Region MHMR will host a Retirement Reception at the Main Center Administration Building on Thursday, August 22nd.
