UPDATE: March 23, 2020

To our valued Customers, Staff, and Stakeholders,

As you are aware, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) remains a serious threat to public health.  Like many other providers, the Heart of Texas Region MHMR Center is being asked to assist in helping to control the control the spread of this virus.  Beginning at 11:59 PM on March 23, 2020, MHMR will shift most services to telephonic means.  Your therapist and case managers should be getting in touch with you to discuss this service.  We will also be limiting access to our facilities, but those that have face-to-face appointments will need to go through a health screening before being admitted to our buildings.  This approach is directed by both local Shelter in Place orders, as well as via State guidelines. 

As a provider of specialized healthcare services, it remains our responsibility to ensure a safe environment for all who seek our services, those who deliver our services, and any other who we may come into contact while visiting our facilities.  We continue to work with the State of Texas and other local and federal entities to ensure we follow current and recommended guidelines aimed at combating this virus.  Please know that we are committed to maintaining a healthy workplace so that we may continue to serve you in the safest manner possible.  

We have also advised our employees to follow the public health authorities’ guidance regarding hygiene and personal travel, and we have reinforced existing policy encouraging employees who exhibit flu-like symptoms to stay home and consult with a medical professional. We are also limiting business travel and while also having some staff work from alternative locations as permissible.   

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and take actions necessary to help keep our employees and customers safe while providing the products and services you need.
